Teacher Debbie at Music Time!

Teacher Debbie is a local Kindermusik Teacher who is volunteering her time to come and bless our children each Thursday morning! She begins in the baby room by sharing the gift of music with the babies then she moves to our 3-5 year olds for the more advanced music instruction!!

As you can see they are already accomplished stick players!!

Gaylene Returns to the USA.

We want to say a BIG Thank you to Gaylene Kennelly for coming to South Africa and volunteering at the Lighthouse Children's Shelter. Gaylene came to serve our 34 children and she did just that and so much more! Gaylene helped us get our Scrapbook up to date and now we can look through the pages of each of the children that have come our way! She cooked and baked for all our children and spent time teaching recipes to our cooks! We are going to miss her good home cooking meals and of course those chocolate chip cookies!! She spent each morning and afternoon helping with the feeding time for our 11 babies in the baby room! We are so grateful to the Lord for sending her our way!

Immunization Time!

Our Children's Coordinator, Sophie Zondo is pictured here with Merrill who comes every 6 weeks to do all our children's immunizations! We are so grateful for Merrill and for the Mobile Clinic who keeps all our babies up to date with their immunizations!

Book of Hope/Southeastern Univ. Visits LCS!

One of the team members was a nurse and brought supplies to us along with hand made blankets that were called Angel blankets made by Peg Quallen in the USA! What a precious blanket made in the shape of a heart and wraps perfectly around our newborns!

Jeremy and Ashley West Visit LCS!!

Jeremy and Ashley West are Book Of Hope Missionaries! They were with us a year ago and brought a team to work at the Lighthouse for a few weeks! They were back again in South Africa with a large team from Southeastern University in Florida! What a blessing they are! We were so thrilled to see them as Jeremy was with us here in South Africa when the Lighthouse began!
