Carole Comes To Visit!!

Carole Greenreich from the state of Washington, USA came to visit us here at the Lighthouse! Carole is a long time friend of LCS through prayer and support and this is the first time she has gotten to meet all of us in person! We are so thankful she has made the long journey and we can say Thank you in person!  We had a great day starting off at church and then we all had a wonderful lunch together!  After we rested for a bit we took off to McDonald's for an ice cream and topped if off by playing on the playground til dark!  What a fun day with Carole!

We Love Presents!!

The kids got special treats this week as one of our volunteers
made them skirts and shorts along with special red tops she provided
for each of them!  We want to say thank you to Laurel who made these
very special outfits for the kids!  The kids also received a special box all
the way from the USA with gifts for them!  Janis's sister, Annette Westlake
and niece, Lexi, made them something special for their rooms!

Thank You Aunt Nettie and Lexi!!

The kids loved getting their custom made names for their bedrooms!!
What a special gift for them!

L.C.S. March 2008

We took time out for a group picture with Ben and Linda
before we said our goodbyes.
We currently have 33 children at the Lighthouse
with a capacity of housing 35.

Thank You So Very Much!!

We are so thankful for the time Ben and Linda Betzer came to serve the Lighthouse Children's Shelter!  They are pictured here beside the beds they sanded and painted for a month!  As you can see they are as good as new as each one was in need of maintenance besides all the painting!  In one month they finished 10 sets of 2 beds each!!  What an accomplishment!  Our babies and toddlers are thrilled with the new Disney pictures that were added!!  Thank you so very much for all your hard work and finances to get our beds back into shape this past month!!

Saying Goodbye!

Uncle Ben and Aunt Linda say goodbye after spending time with us for a month!
We will miss them so very much!!
