Farewell to Special Friends!

We had to say Goodbye to special friends of ours, Joe and Mishael Newell! They have been incredible friends to all of us here including all the children! We are going to miss Joe, Mishael and Josiah Newell as they have been fellow missionaries of ours for the past 5 years here in Rustenburg, South Africa. We are so grateful to God for friends like Joe and Mishael!! We pray God's blessings upon them as they return to the USA and continue in God's direction for their lives.

Nomhle Having A Jumping Castle Moment!!

Nomhle is our Managing Director here at the Lighthouse! You can see she is in the moment with her kids all around having the time of their lives jumping and falling! What a great time!!

Sizanani Day with Peglerae Hospital Women!

Sizanani Day, October 14th was celebrated in style with a large jumping castle and lots of fun and food! The children were so excited as they played, sang, blew bubbles, created paper, had their faces painted and of course filled their tummies with lots of good food! We want to say a very big thank you to Barbara Moore, Hospital Manager at Peglerae and La Femme Hospital who along with Alta van Rooyen and many other colleagues made this grand day possible for our kids!

LCS Children Make Paper!!

Alta van Rooyen (pictured here) headed up the Sizanani Day. She brought all the necessary items to make paper!! Each child was able to make their own paper with flowers, leaves, glitter and anything else they could find. They enjoyed their time so very much!! We want to say thank you to Alta for making it such a special day for all the children!!

Sizanani Day at Lighthouse!!

The Peglerae Hospital Women celebrated Sizanani Day with us by putting on a huge party for the children! Everything was first class for our kids here!! Even the babies had their special baby food for the day!! Everything was accounted for to be able to have a grand display for our children!!

The Hatfield South Church from Pretoria Visits Lighthouse!!

The Lighthouse was privileged to have the Hatfield South Outreach Team come and visit on Saturday the 7th of October. They spent the whole day blessing us with their hands of labor and love! The men spent the whole day working on our jungle gym which needed repair. They sanded and painted until dark! The women helped us in caring and loving on our 31 babies and toddlers!! We are so grateful for their hard work!!

Brooke Celebrates 19 years on the 4th of October!

Brooke celebrated her 19th birthday with several of her South African friends at the Dros Restaurant here in Rustenburg. Pictured are Johannes on the left and her Dad on the right. We thank God for Brooke and the special person she is to our family and the Lighthouse Family!
